Book Review - Cloud Monsters by Francine Piriano-Davila

 ABOUT THE BOOK

Cloud Monsters by Francine Piriano-Davila

ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Francine Piriano-Davila grew up reading science fiction, and she has always loved the genre. She was inspired to write Cloud Monsters by her hope to get books in kids’ hands, and that they’d be drawn in by the fantastic worlds that first attracted her to reading. Francine lives in Springfield, Virginia, with her husband, Pete, and her two energetic boys, Nate and Alex, along with their cat, Benjamin. This is her first book.

MY THOUGHTS

What an adorable book! This book is geared toward 9-12 year olds. I read this story with  my 10 and 8 year old sons. They loved it. The book is 88 pages. This is the story of Jack. Jack thinks that he is going to his little brothers birthday party. However when he shows up for the party, some of his family is abducted by cloud monsters. Jack goes on a quest to save his family. The boys enjoyed the adventure that this took him on. The book is action packed. Both of my boys were able to read aloud with no problems.

I received a copy of this book through the publisher. All thoughts are my own.
