MY THOUGHTS

What an adorable story! The Adoption Surprise is written by Zoey Marie Jackson. This is part of the Love Inspired Line. The cover design is so cute! Mia and Morgan were such cute little characters. I loved them. Mia has just moved to town with her father, Zach. She goes to summer camp and meets Morgan and her Aunt Kelsey. Kelsey has been caring for Morgan since her parents death. Morgan has had a hard time getting past her parents death.

Mia and Morgan spot each other and are totally caught off guard. Kelsey and Zach soon discover that the girls are twins and were separated at birth and adopted out separately. They have an instant connection. Kelsey, who is struggling with being a new mom instead of aunt is shocked when she sees Morgan start to come out of her grief. Kelsey has felt she has not done a great job stepping into her new role. Zach is widowed. He has his own baggage he is still sorting through. Zach and Kelsey know they need to forge a friendship for the sake of the girls.

I really enjoyed seeing the relationship between Kelsey and Zach grow. It was at a comfortable pace. I thought the characters were well written and engaging. I love how the author tackled death and how sometimes we may get mad at God when things do not turn out the way we think they should. The storyline is unique and you will be drawn in immediately.
