MY THOUGHTS
The Golden Quest is written by David Delisle and illustrated by Travis Hanson. This is a graphic novel that teaches kids ages 6-11 some important lessons about money. There’s so much that is pushed on our youth today that we forget if we don’t manage what we have we can’t manage more in the future.
My 10 and 9 year old sons and I enjoyed this book. In the story we see a young boy who has just had a birthday. He wants the newest and coolest dragon rocket 2.7. So when he doesn’t not get it he’s a little bummed. Until his parents tell him he’s going on a quest. The quest is about the golden rules of money. The son is handed a map and sent on his way.
Kids reading this will learn about the awesome stuff they have, how to save some money they earn/receive, learn how to make money while saving money, how to help others when you can and so much more.
I love the way this book is broken down into language kids can understand. My boys and I had great discussions after reading it.
This is a great edition to our home library. It’s geared towards kids ages 6-11.
