At 5’1”, she wishes her children’s picture book, Being Small (Isn’t So Bad After All), was around when she was growing up. Lori also wrote The Tooth Fairy’s Tummy Ache and Balloons for Tiger. Her latest book, The Adventures of Lefty and Righty: The Windy City, was inspired by her daily struggle to find matching socks when they come out of the dryer. connect with the author: website ~ instagram ~ facebook ~ youtube ~ goodreads My Thoughts The Adventures of Lefty & Righty: The Windy City is written by Lori Orlinsky. I have never been to Chicago, so it was fun to take an illustrated tour of it. I have however wondered what happened to socks when they do not come out of the dryer together. This is a bright and colorful story. I enjoyed getting to see Lefty and Righty visit all the Chicago Landmarks. My sons and I learned a lot from this story. This book is geared toward kids ages 3-7 and is 38 pages. However, myself and my 11 and 9 year old sons enjoyed this book. The illustrations tie into the story nicely. I love that the author brought her town to life through the eyes of some adventurous socks.
