Vanishing Legacy is book one in a heart pounding Elite Guardian: Savannah series that is written by multiple authors. This was an amazing kick off to a new series. Elite Guardian Alana Flores, former LAPD underwater dive detective has moved to Savannah for a fresh start. She has a son Rocco and she is just trying to rebuild her life. One day, an autistic little girl, Penny finds herself shelter in Alana's shed. Rocco helps to calm the girl who is hysterical. She is on the run from some one who clearly wants to do her harm. 

Penny's father, Cash is a widow. He is a trauma surgeon and very protective of Penny. He realizes that Penny is very bonded to Rocco - and Alana advises that she can help keep everyone safe. It becomes clear that someone is determined to kidnap Penny. But who? 

This book drew me in within the first sentence. Penny is such a unique and brave soul and I just loved her. I loved how the author captured her autism and her struggles and triumphs. Alana is a force to be reckoned with, but I loved her softer side also. Cash just wants to keep his little girl safe and is bewildered to who would want to harm her. I loved the Elite Guardians series - so I am super excited to see a new setting in Savannah.
