My Thoughts

Battered and Torn is written by Allison Pearl. This is a Contemporary Romantic Suspense novel. This is the second book that I have read by the author. While this is book 4 in the Love and Danger in St. Claire book, it can be read as a standalone. I did not have any problems following along.

Nora is trying to hide from her murderous family. She is a staff member at billionaire, Archie Hamilton's house. He is suspicious of her - but his grandmother is insistent on keeping her on staff. Archie has some baggage that he is dealing with. He gave up his dreams to run the family business. However he is so intrigued with Nora that he wants to know more.

The author does a great job in reminding us that no matter what, God is with us. This book is packed full of suspense. The book is well written, the storyline engaging.
