MY THOUGHTS
Blindspot is the first book that I have read by Maggie Smith. I can guarantee you it WILL NOT be my last. This book drew me in within the first few pages and I lost all sense of time while reading.
Rachel is a career driven mom. She works in the district attorney's office and if that is not stressful enough, she has a teenage daughter, Charley. She is used to working hard as a single mom, so when someone appears to be stalking and targeting her and her daughter, she will not stop until they do. She is used to receiving threats with her job, but these threats are personal. Phone calls and videos from the unknown person who says: $50K or I will hurt your daughter. Rachel teams up with an old classmate, turned private investigator, Max. When the stalker wants her to meet on a secluded beach alone, she arrives and finds a crime scene. Can Rachel and Max find out who is responsible for all of the threats before Rachel loses her freedom? Will Charley be caught in the crossfire and become collateral damage. This book is full of twists and turns and heart pounding action. The characters are well developed and the story is well written. Thank you to the author, publisher and Partners in Crime Book tours for allowing me to read a copy of this book - all thoughts are my own.
