MY THOUGHTS

Oh. My. Goodness. When I sat down to start reading this book - I knew that I was going to have to put everything on hold. This might be my favorite Love Inspired Suspense book in awhile. I HAD to know what happened next. I love the secret baby troupe - and who does not love a good witness protection story.

Shae Evans spots a familiar face at a Christmas pageant, she knows her witness-protection cover has been blown. Six years ago, her testimony put a crime boss away for life, but his vengeful son never stopped looking for her. She has to rely on former FBI agent Mason Payne—her child’s secret father. Shea was so in love with Mason - but he vanished without a trace.

Mason shows up to protect Shae. He still has strong feelings for her. He knows that there was a mole in the department, and he has been living undercover to try and find out who is exposing Shae. He is shocked to see her with a child. Shae despite having been through so much has never lost her faith. I love that she relies heavy on prayer. It's a great reminder that no matter what we face, we need to talk to HIM.

Shae and Mason need to put aside the what ifs, their past feelings and concentrate on outsmarting the mafia. I loved how this book was packed with action and suspense. You can feel the adrenaline oozing off the pages.

The book is well written, the characters are engaging. Thank you to the author, publisher and Great Escapes Virtual Tours for allowing me to read a copy of this book - all thoughts are my own.
