Percy the green dinosaur is having a sad day. He is letting the outside world determine his mood, and he is attracting one bad circumstance after another.

 

In the morning, he wakes up, gets out of bed, and stubs his toe. “Ouch!” This makes him frustrated. He thinks, what a bad way to start the day. Because he is dwelling on his day starting badly, his day continues to go badly. “Uh-oh.”

My Thoughts 

The Grateful Green Dinosaur is written by 

Larissa Pemberton. This is a children’s book that was a fun adorable read. This book contains valuable lessons to turn negative thoughts and days into positive. 

Percy is an adorable green dinosaur. He has a habit of focusing on the bad. Custard, his unicorn friend comes along side him and helps him to appreciate things he has. 

Loved the message of this book. It’s illustrated beautifully. Thank you the author, publisher and Goddess Fish Promotions for allowing me to read a copy of this book. All thoughts are my own.

I have read the first book but they can be read as stand alone.  In this story, we meet Allye Jessup. She feels that she witnessed a murder. However she seems to have survived an attack, but no one seems to believe her. I was drawn into this book as soon as I started reading. The author has packed in so much suspense, mystery and romance.  Detective Eric Thornton is the one who takes Allye’s case. He’s overloaded with other cases but he sees some things that others have dismissed. I loved the twists and turns and the evolution of our characters.  The author has not only written an amazing story, there is faith woven in throughout. Learning to trust God fully is a hard thing to do sometimes but we see Allye make strides in her faith.  I’ve enjoyed being in Kincaid, Kentucky and this is a series I hope never ends. Grace Fox is the award-winning author of 15 books including Names of God: Knowing Peace. She’s a popular Bible teacher at international women’s events, a member of the “First 5” Bible study writing team (Proverbs 31 Ministries), and an annual contributor to the Mornings with Jesus 365-day devotional published by Guideposts.

Grace has been a career missionary for more than 30 years. She and her husband co-direct International Messengers Canada, a missionary sending agency with 300 staff in more than 25 countries. My Thoughts 

I’m going through a roller coaster of a time right now. My husband got a new job in a new city. We’re trying sell our house and move and while I know God has us, there’s always that chaos that brews in the soul. Names of God Devotional by Grace Fox couldn’t have come at a better time. 

There is a perfect blend of Biblical Examples and personal testimony that I looked forward to reading more. Each session provide a guided prayer (which are so helpful when your soul is weary), reflection questions and a video link. I found my faith boosted going through this devotion.
