About the Author

Award-winning author Loretta Eidson lives by the motto ‘never a dull moment,’ especially with her four children, thirteen grandchildren, and four great-grands. Her love of reading began during the required library time in middle school, where she devoured Phyllis Whitney’s mystery novels before she moved on to suspense author Frank Peretti. My Thoughts

The Marine's Deadly Reunion is written by Loretta Eidson. One of the things that I love about this author, is the fact that her books always are packed full of action and suspense. In this story we see Police Sergeant Daria Gordon and US Marine Jake Fisher. They have to work together to  Emma safe and to find out who is targeting them. Emma is Jake's niece. 

The bad guys have already killed Jake's sister - and Jake wants revenge. I love that Daria advises on the legal way to do things. She takes charge and I liked seeing a strong female character.  The author does a great job in weaving in twists and turns.

My Thoughts

Home from the Storm is the 4th book in the Johns Mill Amish Romance series that is written by by Laurel Blount. I have read most of the books in the series ( I did not read book 3) - but it was nice to see the mystery and storyline wrap up. I really enjoyed seeing the story of Caleb Hochstedler. He left the Amish life to try and pursue his parent's killers. When he left, his wife Rhoda was left behind. Rhonda is torn between being happy to see her husband and her father, the bishop who did not think Caleb was ever content to be Amish. When he returns back to Johns Mill, he is shock to see that he is the father of twins. He soon finds out that his parents killer has his sites set on Rhonda. Caleb has to try and keep his family safe along with bring the killer to justice. He returns to the Amish with such vengeance - and that is frowned upon within the Amish. He cannot enter back into good graces being so angry. This has been an amazing series. The characters are well written - the storyline is intriguing.   Terror Bay is written by Lisa Towles. This is the first book that I have read by this author and will not be my last. Detective Kurt Farin is in a coma due to a near fatal shooting. While he is in his coma he has unsettling image of a woman caught under a shipwreck. When he wakes up, he is determined to find this woman. However, how can he trust the voices that were in his head during the coma.

Kurt travels to Puget Sound to try and find Genevieve Lucas - the woman that was beckoning to him. Kurt and his former partner go all over the Pacific North west trying to sort out the mystery. 

The author has written a riveting story full of suspense, mystery and an amazing thriller. The author has written some detailed scenes where you feel like you are standing there watching everything unfold.

My Thoughts

The Dolphin Dentist: No Sharks Allowed is written by Cheryl DaVeiga. This is a Children's Fiction book that is geared toward readers 3-7. I thought this was the cutest picture book. Flossy, Queen of the Seas has a lot of teeth. She is fearless. 

However, she needs to go to the dentist. Flossy's mom,  Mama Fin does research on the "Fin" ternet and finds a gentle dentist, Dr. Dribble. When they show up to his office everyone scatters. Dr. Dribble has a sign up stating that they do not serve sharks. Mama Fin refuses to leave so Dr. Dribbles who is scared of sharks comes up with a great white lie - and scares Flossy off. Everyone realizes that Flossy is not fearless. This does not sit well with Dr. Dribble. He feels bad - so he makes a house call. He realizes that not all sharks are scary. 

I love that this book has a valuable lesson. Facing fears, and not judging someone by their outward appearance. The book is well written and beautifully illustrated.  Thank you to the author, publisher and IRead book tours, all thoughts are my own.
