Guest Post from Dana Mentink

Howdy, friends! I am so thrilled to be galloping into the second book in the Gold Country Cowboy series with you. This book was a hoot to write. It’s got a nice twisty mystery and plenty of danger! Our hero, twin Owen Thorn, is a Marine doing his darnedest not to fall in love with his brother’s little sister, but you know how these things go, don’t you, partners? There’s trouble ahead in cowboy country and this story will take you on a wild gallop to the happy ending! God bless and thanks for coming along!

Wow. That was my first reaction after finishing this book.I tend to do my reading on my hour lunch and I did not want to go back to work... I wanted to keep reading.I finished this book in about 3 hours total.
This book starts out with a bang - and it DOES NOT STOP. There were NO pauses in the action. It just keeps on rolling.
Ella. The central character - such a lovely woman. Accused of murder she is determined to clear her name. Owen. Ella's brothers best friend. Former Marine. Hardened from war. Determined to protect and clear Ella's name at all costs.
My favorite line of the book: "It's like trying to stop a tank with a squirt gun."

This is book two of the Gold Country Cowboys series. It can be read as a stand alone.
If you like action and adventure with romance and violence downplayed with a Christian theme - this is the book for you

Book REVIEW: The Secret of the Hidden Scrolls: The Great Escapes Book 3 By M.J. Thomas

The Great Escape by M.J. Thomas

About the Book:
The Secret of the Hidden Scrolls series follows siblings Peter and Mary and their dog, Hank, as they discover ancient scrolls that transport them back to key moments in biblical history.

In The Great Escape, Peter, Mary, and Hank journey to the pyramid-studded desert of ancient Egypt. When the trio become friends with Pharaoh’s daughter, they witness first-hand as Moses petitions Pharaoh for the Israelites’ freedom. Plagues wreak havoc as the group races to decode the scroll, gets chased by a panther, and battles Pharaoh’s cunning advisor, the Great Magician. Young readers will anxiously follow along as Peter and Mary’s thrilling adventures bring the biblical story of Exodus to life.

My Thoughts:

This book is targeted to 6-9 year olds. This is a perfect age group for it. My 6 year old loved this book. This is the 3rd book in the series. We have not read the first two books in the series, and we had no problem following along. I loved the characters, my 6 year old loved the storyline. He was very excited to keep reading.

I received a copy of this book through Worthy Publishing, all thoughts are my own.
