He loved her then. Will she love him now?
When Mallory Barrows finds an old diary in a box of books, the story she finds within sends her on the hunt for the owner–and maybe more.
Theirs is a story ripped from a country song. A wedding, a former love presumed dead, her new love stepping aside. And over forty years later, their story is one few remember.
With Mallory determined to find the people in the pages of that diary, one couple is offered the second chance of a lifetime.
This “second-chance / seasoned romance” novel introduces the next island in the Independence Islands Series featuring five islands, six authors, and a boatload of happily-ever-afters.
The Independence Islands Series: beach reads aren’t just for summer anymore.

About the Narrator
Speaking Life into Story
Queen of the one-eyebrow quirk, Christa DelSorbo auditioned for the role of Tarzan’s mom and has the photos to prove she ended up as the only cast member in a literal cast. These days, they keep her stuck in a box with a ball on a stick and only feed her when she reads another chapter of another fabulous book. She loves every minute. Or so they tell her. *eyebrow slowly raises *

My Thoughts
Finding a Memory is written by the mega talented Chautona Havig. This is book 19 in the Independence Island series. The series is written by several amazing authors. While they are part of a series, each book can be a stand alone. However, I have enjoyed the series so much and if you like contempary romance, you will too.
This one is is up there on my favorite Independence Island series books. Mallory Barrows finds an old diary in a box of books. She starts to read and she realizes she needs to find the owner or family of the diary. Benjamin, Mallory's friend helps in the quest to find the owner of the diary. I love the second chance love story and the reminder of forgiveness in this story. Patti has now aged and lives with the pain and regret of her life choices. Her character broke my heart. Francis, has recently lost his wife and and now has been reliving the past . He has begun to wonder if his one true love got away.
This is a well written amazing book. This is one that will stick with me for a long time. The characters are well written, you can feel their emotions coming off the page. Kudos Chautona, this was an amazing book.
As for the narration, I can listen to Christa Del Sorbo speak all day. Her voice is calming and flows nicely. I love the way she read this book. She has a gift of speech. I hope to hear more from her in the future.
I received a copy of this book through the Celebrate Lit blogging program, all thoughts are my own.
