My Thoughts
SHATTERED SIGHT is book one in the Jackson Davis Mysteries series that is written by Liz Milliron. I believe this is the first book I’ve ready by this author and it certainly will not be my last.
We’re introduced to Jackson Davis. He’s a Niagara Falls Police Detective. He seems to have it all. Marriage. Children. Career. But no one seems to see the inner battle that he faces. His former partner lost her site and career over an explosion that happened while they were pursing a suspect. He tells everyone he’s fine. But deep down we know he’s not.
I was hooked by the first chapter. The author has written such real feeling characters. Jackson’s pain and turmoil was oozing off the pages. He’s tasked with leading the investigation of a prominent local business woman and has a new partner. He’s got to try and keep it together and not make any mistakes.
The book is well written. I love police detective mysteries. I hope to read the next book in the series.
Thank you to the author, publisher and Partners in Crime Book Tours for allowing me to read a copy of this book. All thoughts are my own. |
