For as long as she can remember, Shelby Jones has felt that something about her life is incomplete.

Then a chilling message Shelby Jones, your entire life is a lie.

The fragile sense of normalcy she has built begins to unravel. She finds herself drawn into an unlikely circle of River — the arrogant, star quarterback and campus royalty who knows how to command attention. Jared Mitchell — effortlessly handsome, introverted, and far more guarded than he appears. Alice Whitman — quietly manipulative, mysterious, and tied to one of the most powerful families connected to the town of Wilshire Pointe.

Then the nightmares begin. Not ordinary nightmares, but ones that are dark and almost impossible to shake. Ones that will shortly bleed into her reality.

Strange disturbances ripple through the quiet town. Whispers follow Shelby wherever she goes. And beneath the polished surface of Wilshire Pointe lies a past deliberately buried.

As Shelby and her friends search for answers, they uncover fragments of a hidden history tied to something darker—a mystery steeped in secrets, where nightmares begin crossing into the real world and nothing is as it seems.

The nightmares are not random. They are calling to her, leading her toward a truth that may finally reveal who she really is.

And whatever has been sleeping beneath

About the Author

My love for horror began at seven when my dad accidentally rented The Exorcist for a room full of kids. While everyone else was terrified, I was fascinated. Wilshire Pointe is my debut gothic horror novel. I’m an interior designer, a mother of three, and a lover of all things horror, balancing my passion for creating beautiful spaces with my love of crafting dark, atmospheric stories. When I’m not designing or writing, I enjoy conversations about personal growth, laughter that leaves you breathless, and music that makes me dance in public—much to my kids’ embarrassment. David Bowie’s Fame is a favorite. I prefer good news, good people, and positive energy. Some might call me a vibrational snob, and they may not be wrong.

My Thoughts

OK, so normally when I finish a book - I try and sit down and write the review right away. However with Wilshire Pointe - I needed a few days to recover. When I tell you that I only read this book in the day time. I mean it.
I was scrolling through posts in a Facebook Psychological Thriller group, when I saw someone ask about books with paranormal elements - the author herself recommended it. I went in search, and boom started to read.

This book is told through several points of view... however the author has woven it together seamlessly. There are no slow scenes, and the book has the pedal to the metal the whole time. There were so many twists and turns that you will not see coming. I also felt that I was looking over my shoulder to ensure that our cast of characters did not escape the book.

If you are looking for a story that will keep you up at night, provide disturbing dreams, and will make you sleep with the lights on - this is the book for you. Once the story grabs you, you will not want to put it down.

I am not sure how the author will top this as her debut novel. I absolutly will read anything that she releases.
