My Thoughts

Safe House Exposed is a Love Inspired Suspense that is written by Darlene L. Turner. This is part of her Border Patrol series. While I have read most of the books in the series, they are all stand alone books. This one focuses on  Canadian border patrol officer Emma James,  who is widowed and the target of a drug family, the Luthers. Her main focus is keeping herself and her daughter, Sierra alive. She voluntarily leaves behind her family and enters witness protection. Her father in law is in charge of making sure she stays safe. What they don't count on is there is a leak somewhere.

Mason is Emma's brother in law. He is assigned to keep watch over Emma and Sierra. He has not been around the 3 years since his brother died - but he is there now and desperately wants to succeed. He has always been living in his brother's shadow. He never seems to be able to live up to his father, Seth James' high standards.

The team that is assigned to protect Emma is hand picked by Seth himself. What Mason does not understand is why they keep finding her within hours of every move. Who is feeding the Luther's information?

This book starts out with non stop action, and does not let up at all. I sat and read this book in one sitting on a rainy Saturday evening. The author throws in all sorts of twists and turns to have you second guessing who you think is responsible for the leak.

Well written characters, great Faith Elements woven into the story. You will be drawn in within the first chapter.

I received a copy of this book through the author's launch team, all thoughts are my own.
