My Thoughts

Every Bird That Falls is book three in the two sparrows for a penny series that is written by Sara Davison. This is part of a series, and it is best to read in order. Some of the characters stories are told more in detail in the previous books. One of the things that I love about this author is that you will be drawn in within the first few pages. She also always tackles tough topics with such a great reminder of God's great healing power.

Jae-won, Tala and Rose were all foster sisters. One day they overhear that their foster mother is sick and they are worried that they will be moved to a different home and separated. They concoct a plan to leave in the middle of the night and stay together. However, while they are walking, a van pulls up and overpowers Tala and Rose. Jae-won fights back and escapes.

Fast forward 8 years and Tala and Rose are recovering from their years in captivity. Tag, who is Tala's brother is grateful they are safe. However, he is confused to how Jae-won got away - and he does not understand why she did not get help. Tag and Jae-won dated before this happened.

Jae-won is a woman now - she goes by a different name. She has had to endure so much. She disappeared for those several years - and pops up with enough time for Tag to be confused to where she has ebeen. Then she disappears again. It becomes evident that someone is out for Jae-won. Can Tag and Jae-won heal their past before it's too late.

This book ties everything together. I really enjoyed getting to know these characters and their heartbreaking stories. The author has done a great job with the hard topic of human trafficking.

Thank you to the author, publisher and JustRead Publicity Tours for allowing me to read a copy of this book, all thoughts are my own.
