Burke Maguire, an old boyfriend who recently returned to their hometown as a police officer, isn’t as available to her as he was with their first case. He knows she’s in trouble, so why isn’t he helping her? Something isn’t right…

My Thoughts
The New Neighbors is written by Tamara G. Cooper. This is an intense mystery story that will draw you in within the first few pages. This is the second book in the series. It can also be read as a stand alone.
Sophie is hoping and thinking that she has a normal life. However, then she gets new neighbors. When they move in all the normalcy she has and craves is gone.
Sophie starts to notice that children are being picked up really late at night. She also hears drones and gun fire. Then bodies start to show up and she does not feel safe.
Sophie is determined to try and get to the bottom of this. She turns to her ex boyfriend who is a police officer. However she’s shut down when she asks for help.
The author has done a great job in putting in twists and turns. There is a quirky set of characters. The storyline draws you in within the first few pages.
Thank you to the author, publisher and Celebrate Lit for allowing me to read a copy of this book. All thoughts are my own.
