My Thoughts

Safeguarding the Witness is a Love Inspired Suspense book that is written by Laurie Winter. This is the first book that I have read by the author, and it will not be my last. The book starts out with a lot of suspense. Kayla Swartz gets a call from her estranged father that she needs to come get her 3 year old sister, Olive. He does not give much of an explanation. When she shows up to his house in Snowberry, Montana the house is trashed. She does not find any trace of her dad or her sister.

Nicholas Galanis is back in town visiting family. He left behind his home town after his hopes of playing college sports were dashed..... when he helped break up a fight between Kayla's dad and another man. Kayla and Nicholas used to date, and he was crazy about her. He shows up at the house and sees Kayla and they try and figure out what happened. He is now a bodyguard for high profile clients and he uses these skills to try and keep Kayla and Olive safe. Will it be enough?

I loved these two characters. They have a history and seeing them reconnect was heartwarming. The action and suspense continue throughout the entire book. Once you start reading, you will not want to stop. Thank you to the author, publisher and JustRead Publicity Tours for allowing me to read a copy of this book - all thoughts are my own.
