Bell. This is my first exposure to this author and it will not be my last. This book is packed with action and suspense that I didn’t want to put it down. The book is well written and the storyline is engaging.  Laura is a chef and a cookbook author. She goes to visit one of her mentors, Hattie who was a World War II pilot. She’s surprised to see her looking unwell. She’s so used to Hattie looking strong and boisterous. When Laura returns she finds Hattie dead. Laura is suddenly a suspect.  Let’s factor in that when Hattie’s will is read, Laura is the sole heir. Laura is in shock and suddenly finds herself having to clear her name. Along the way there are some that would like to eliminate Laura. What could this town be hiding.
